Today we’re adding lots of flavor to our food… as well as increasing those fat burning hormones to speed up our metabolism.

So here is Day 8. You will do this swap every day for the next 5 days…

How Will This Help Me Burn Fat?

Removal because:

  • Many sauces have High Fructose Corn Syrup in them which turns directly into fat and also stops the ‘I’m full’ signal from getting to our brain… so we overeat!
  • Many sauces are also high in sugar and contain lots of preservatives, additives and some contain MSG. All these things increase the fat storing hormones.

Inclusion because:

  • Not only are they delicious but these flavorings below turn up the fat burning hormones.
  • Not extensive but here are some fat burning benefits:
    • Garlic – amazing for the metabolic powerhouse liver, helps to lower cholesterol, increase testosterone
    • Onion & Leeks – May help fight obesity and diabetes, helps reduce testosterone being converted into Estrogen (belly fat storing hormone), and increases testosterone
    • Lemon – Helps lower Cortisol, detoxes the liver
    • Peppers (Capsicum) – Helps lower Cortisol, helps with afternoon cravings

Fat Burning Cooking Tips

  • If you make a stir fry then cook your meat first. Then vegetables with a tiny bit of water to steam them quickly. When they’re nearly ready (2-3 minutes) add the garlic, onion, ginger and chilli a minute before you serve it. This keeps all the flavor.
  • To add some excitement to a chicken breast do as above. Cook through, then just before you serve if put in the garlic, ginger and chilli and toss the chicken in it for no more than a minute. Squeeze some lemon over it and serve. So simple and really yummy!
  • ALSO chicken breasts can get really dry so cut the breast in half so the thickness is halved (as if you were butterflying it). This means you cook it less and it won’t dry out
  • Crush garlic and then let it sit for 10 minutes. This allows all of the fat burning enzymes to react. Then slice and use as normal
