I forgot about these!

I was looking for a Wednesday Recipe and saw these waiting for a photo… so I HAD to make them just to take a photo. Oh poor me.

Mind you my boys devoured most of them!

VARIATION: If you don’t like Chickpeas then you can do this with Almonds or Cashews. Just place in oven for 25-30 minutes and then follow from Step 4

  • 1 can Chickpeas Organic (in BPA free can)
  • Chocolate Flavour
  • 1 tsp Cacao
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 2 tsp Extra Virgin Coconut Oil
  • 1/2-1 tsp Stevia Powder (to taste)
  1. Preheat the oven to 285F / 140C.
  2. Drain the Chickpeas and rinse well
  3. Place on a baking tray with parchment/baking paper and place in oven for 1 and a Half hours (or until quite hard on outside) NOTE: Take out every 30 minutes and just carefully shake to get even cooking
  4. Melt Coconut Oil
  5. In a small container mix Dry Ingredients (Cacao, Cinnamon, Stevia)
  6. Take Chickpeas out of the oven and carefully put in a bowl.
  7. Tip in melted Coconut Oil & Half of Dry ingredients and toss well to coat.
  8. Put the chickpeas back on the baking tray with parchment/baking paper and place back in oven for 10-15 minutes.
  9. Take out and let cool. Once cool mix with remaining dry ingredients and serve.
