These are a great snack when you need a bit of crunch!

VARIATION: If you don’t like Chickpeas then you can do this with Almonds or Cashews. Just place in oven for 25-30 minutes and then follow from Step 4

Moroccan Chickpea Crunchies

Servings Customize Your Recipe:
3 Unit Type:
  • 1 can Chickpeas Organic (in BPA free can)
  • 1 tsp Moroccan Spice See above for me Morrocan Spice Blend
  • 2 tsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 Good Pinch Celtic Sea Salt
  1. Preheat the oven to 285F / 140C.
  2. Drain the Chickpeas and rinse well
  3. Place on a baking tray with parchment/baking paper and place in oven for 1 and a Half hours (or until quite hard on outside) NOTE: Take out every 30 minutes and just carefully shake to get even cooking
  4. Take Chickpeas out of the oven and carefully put in a bowl.
  5. Tip in 1 teaspoon Moroccan Spice Blend, Salt & Olive Oil and toss well to coat.
  6. Put the chickpeas back on the baking tray with parchment/baking paper and place back in oven for 10-15 minutes.
  7. Take out and let cool. Once cool, taste and if required add 1/2-1 teaspoon Moroccan Spice. Add in 1/4 tsp increments until desired flavor. Serve.
